COVEN - Bundle Demo - New Version
COVEN - Summer 2024 Demo » Devlog
Hello there, just letting folk know that there is a new update to the new demo.
Some small bug fixes but also some new modifiers for the new level select/custom game menu.
- Rainbow blood (each blood drop is assigned a random colour)
- Hardcore mode (harder game mode with no checkpoints)
- Big head mode (all enemies have huge heads)
These modifiers become unlocked on finishing the third level so if you've finished it already just give it another playthrough and you'll unlock them.

Hi! I tried the previous Dark & Gory Shooter Bundle update (from a few days ago) and really liked it, but found that headshots seemed to do very little damage (took several axe swings or 3/4 handgun bullets to the head at close range to kill them). Would you consider adding a modifier for the headshot damage? It's cool if it's not possible though. Just a suggestion. :)
Hey, glad you enjoyed the new demo :) It takes two axe swings to the head to kill basic enemies or one charged attack, which I feel is pretty fair. Agreed the pistol is weak headshot wise, I'll bump up the damage slightly. It's good against enemies legs at least. Trying to distinguish the weapons somewhat, like the shotgun/crossbow are great at headshots, pistols good for leg damage etc.
I could most certainly add a gameplay modifier tho, "Realistic headshots" or something where the damage is increased a lot.
Ah cool, thanks for the explanation, it makes sense. I guess I'm just too used to popping heads with one blow! Love the update though. Great work! :)
